Kim is a passionate life gulper who splits time between family, outdoor adventuring, whimsical hobbies (think tribal belly dance and felting mountain goat fur), and teaching. She was born in New England, is Californian in spirit, and has dug on Alaska for the past 8 years. Her work uniforms have included argyle socks and a pager, fleece vests and hiking boots, nylon stockings and heels, and currently overalls and dangle earrings. She attended an Ivy League college, but is way more proud of navigating life hurdles like spousing, parenting and friending. Her teaching motto? Wonder leads to Wisdom leads to Action.
